At Sandain, we believe in creating a better world, together. Every time you choose one of our bags, you become part of something bigger than just a purchase. You become part of The Cow Funder Initiative, our way of giving back and creating real change.
Our vision is to create a new way of consuming, where you and your bag are part of a larger context. A bag you can carry with you through life knowing you helped someone else. A first step towards this is The Cow Funder Initiative.
Through our social project, we donate calves to needy families in Bangladesh. Since 2018, we´ve continuously donated calves to new families and we give out about 5 calves a month.
- When you buy a bag, we donate money to our project The Cow Funder Initiative.
- With the money we buy calves which we then give to needy families in the village of Bagatipara, Bangladesh.
- In addition to a calf, the family also receives support and training and how to care for the animal.
- When the time has come, the family keeps the profit from the sale of the meat, which can correspond to up to a couple of years income.
- We get back our original donation, which we then buy a new calf for a new family.
